Who is responsible
MediaPlucker is a UK trading name. Contact [email protected] for privacy questions or to exercise your rights. This notice covers our website, browser extension and support.
Videos and browser information
Video processing happens on your device. We do not receive your video files, download history, filenames or browsing history. The extension uses the current page, its player information, temporary media and the website permissions you grant to find and save media. The source website and its media hosts receive the requests needed for playback and downloads. Queue history, settings and optional diagnostics stay in browser storage until you clear them or remove the extension. Temporary media is cleaned after completion, failure or cancellation.
Images and local processing
Image URLs, thumbnails, source-page details, selections, filters and saved reference collections stay in browser storage. Image downloads, ZIP export, PNG/JPEG/WebP conversion and duplicate checks run on your device. The source website and image hosts receive the requests needed to fetch the images. Opening a source link or exporting references is your choice.
Support and sensitive information
Contact forms send your email and message. Problem reports and site requests also send the URL you review. Our OVH-hosted relay forwards these submissions to our operator through Telegram. URLs and descriptions can reveal personal or sensitive interests: do not include passwords, payment details, intimate material or unnecessary personal information. You can email [email protected] instead of using these forms. We use submissions to respond to your request, investigate faults and improve compatibility, on the basis of our legitimate interests in providing support and, where applicable, our contract with you.
Cloudflare Turnstile
Website support forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated abuse. Cloudflare processes technical browser and network signals, including your IP address. Our server verifies the token before accepting a message and does not forward it to Telegram. Add-on support links open these website forms. We rely on our legitimate interests in securing the service.
Hosting logs
Our website access logs exclude query strings, referrers, cookies, request bodies and account credentials. Access and error logs are restricted to server administration and normally retained for no more than fifteen days through daily rotation.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Email [email protected]; you do not need to use a rate-limited form. We may verify your identity and normally respond within one month. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk or your local supervisory authority. We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects using automated profiling.
Free launch and local preferences
The current MediaPlucker release requires no account or payment. We do not collect login credentials or apply account-based download allowances. Language, colour palette, appearance, queue history and extension preferences are stored on your device.
Version checks
The extension checks MediaPlucker.com for the latest available version at startup and periodically. These requests contain no account token, media URL or download history. Our hosting provider receives ordinary network information, including your IP address. Once a newer release is verified, an update is required before new scans or downloads; active downloads can finish.
Security, storage and statistics
We process the information needed to host the website and protect support forms, including IP addresses and request timestamps. We store language and appearance preferences locally. We do not use advertising cookies, sell personal information, run behavioural advertising or upload your downloaded media. Browser stores apply their own privacy policies when you visit them.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
MediaPlucker’s use and transfer of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use data only for the disclosed download, support and security functions. We do not sell this data or use it for personalised advertising, creditworthiness or lending decisions. Transfers and human access are limited to purposes and exceptions permitted by that policy.
Retention
Local settings and download history remain on your device until you clear them or remove the extension. Hosting logs are normally retained for no more than fifteen days. Support messages are reviewed for deletion twelve months after closure. Support abuse blocks are reviewed for continued necessity and can be appealed by email. Private backups expire under the operator’s documented backup schedule.
Sharing and international transfers
Our providers include OVH for hosting, Cloudflare for Turnstile and Telegram for support messages you submit. We share only information needed for those roles or lawful requests. Their processing may involve countries outside the UK. Where required, applicable adequacy decisions or appropriate transfer safeguards must be documented before a restricted transfer. Contact us for information about safeguards for your data. These providers do not receive downloaded media files through our service.
Changes
We update this policy when our practices change and show the effective date. Any future account or payment features will have updated disclosures before they are introduced.
